Harvey

Harvey came in to Welfare due to a divorce. His owner had had him from a puppy but could not keep him. Unusually we had Marie on our books, an adopter with young children who was willing to take an older dog. We spent time explaining to Marie that Harvey would need time to sleep, somewhere he could disappear to for peace and quiet away from the children. It seems Harvey has other ideas. This is what Marie says:

We adopted Harvey and couldn’t be happier. He is 10 years old but is active. We all take him out for walks which he loves. He loves being stroked while sleeping, if you stop he turns his head as if to say ‘well keep stroking’. He is brilliant with the children but he is a very cheeky old man but that just adds to his fantastic character.

He has settled really well.
